What Is Lymphedema?

• Normal lymph flow is 2-4 L per day

• An increase of lymphatic fluid due to an impaired lymphatic system that causes swelling to an area of the body (i.e. arm/leg)

• Prevalence- over 250 million world wide (2% of population)
