An increase of lymphatic fluid due to an impaired lymphatic system that causes swelling of the arm, shoulder, breast, and flank area
The lymphatic system can become impaired as a result of surgery, radiation, infection or trauma.
Research has shown that 25 – 35% of breast cancer survivors develop Lymphedema
